SS 321 pipe is an 18/8 austenitic stainless steel pipe stabilised with titanium. Titanium ties up carbon as titanium carbides, so stainless steel 321 pipe does not suffer chromium-carbide precipitation when it operates for long periods in the 425–850 °C range – the temperature band where 304 can become sensitised.
We supply SS 321 and 321H seamless and welded pipes for exhaust manifolds, expansion bellows, refinery and petrochemical heaters, boiler shells and power-plant piping.
321H (higher carbon) offers better creep strength above 500 °C. For applications below 425 °C, standard SS 304 pipe is usually more economical.

Titanium stabilises the steel by forming titanium carbides, preventing chromium carbide formation and intergranular corrosion at elevated temperatures.
SS 321 pipe is used for exhaust systems, expansion joints, heaters, boilers and process lines operating between 425 °C and 900 °C.
