Stainless Steel Welded Pipe – Overview

A stainless steel welded pipe is produced by roll-forming stainless strip or plate into a tube and fusing the seam with TIG, plasma, laser or high-frequency ERW welding. Modern welding and in-line annealing give an SS welded pipe excellent dimensional accuracy, a smooth bore and corrosion resistance close to that of seamless pipe – at a much lower price per kg.
