SS Tubes vs SS Pipes
A stainless steel tube is specified by its exact outside diameter and wall thickness, while a pipe is specified by nominal bore and schedule. Tubes are made to tighter tolerances and are used where precise fit, heat transfer or pressure-tight compression fittings matter.

SS Tube – FAQs
Is SS tube the same as SS pipe?
Not exactly. Tubes are sized by actual OD and wall thickness with tighter tolerances; pipes use nominal bore (NB) and schedule numbers.
Do you supply SS 316 instrumentation tubes?
Yes, we supply seamless SS 316 / 316L instrumentation tubes from ⅛" to 1" OD to ASTM A269 / A213.
