SS 904L Pipe – Grade Overview
SS 904L pipe is a super-austenitic stainless steel pipe with 23–28% nickel, 4–5% molybdenum and 1–2% copper. This rich alloy gives 904L stainless steel pipe excellent resistance to sulphuric, phosphoric and acetic acids, chloride pitting and stress-corrosion cracking – well beyond the capability of 316L.
